The purpose of the review was to analyze the effectiveness of neurorehabilitation as a way to restore human empathy and thereby improve socialization and quality of life.
Psychological trauma can become a trigger that prevents a person from living a full life. Methods of neurorehabilitation help to cope with the situation, including neurodynamic recovery (according to Yagudin D.R.), including: psychological counseling, kinesiological techniques, neurodynamic recovery and regression. When using this method, quite often at the first stage of diagnosis, a facial mask is detected in patients as a manifestation of disorders of the mimic muscles, including due to impaired innervation of the facial and trigeminal nerves and mirror neurons, which is accompanied by a decrease in empathy – conscious empathy for the emotions of another person. In turn, a decrease in empathy negatively affects the level of socialization of a person and the quality of his life.
Based on the analysis of literature data and experience in the practical application of the neurodynamic recovery method, the importance of restoring empathy is confirmed: at the first stage, tension decreases and the functioning of facial muscles is restored, at the second stage, the range of facial expressions is expanded with the help of their training program, which in combination with other methods increases the effectiveness of social interaction and thereby the quality of life of the patient.
