ART EXHIBITION AS A LITERARY AND THEATRICAL EVENT："MY POOR MARAT" INTERPRETED BY SHI HAITAO

The article presents a unique experience of reception of the play "My Poor Marat" by A. Arbuzov in China - a series of oil paintings "The Play: My Poor Marat" by artist Shi Haitao. Critics' opinions and readers' reactions are examined. It is concluded that A. Arbuzov's works meet the horizon of expectations of Chinese viewers. An example of successful dialogue of cultures in the theatrical and dramaturgical sphere is the reception of the play "My Poor Marat" in China.
