The article shows the influence of cognitive coping on the adaptability of students in higher education. Adaptability is considered as a result of adaptation; in two aspects: adaptability to the study group and adaptability to learning activities. Significant differences between the groups of boys and girls are shown; girls have less religiousness and problem analysis than boys. Adaptability to learning activity is higher in students who use cognitive coping problem analysis, giving meaning; students who use cognitive coping dissimulation, confusion are lower than students who do not use them. Adaptability to learning activity is higher in students using the cognitive coping relativity compared to students who do not use this coping.
