Despite the fact that recent years have been difficult for both domestic and international business, 2021 can be assessed as quite successful for many areas of the world economy, including international factoring. International cross-border business has almost tripled in the last 15 years. However, trade wars, pandemics, and military conflicts have negatively affected the internationalization of business. The article analyzes the global market of factoring services in the regional and sectoral context, determines the impact of digitalization on the factoring industry, and highlights the risks and main problems in this area.
