The article is devoted to the analysis of Chinese students' perception and assessment of the Far Eastern Russian space in a three-part composition: Russia – Russian Far East – Vladivostok. The relevance is related to the importance of understanding the specifics of communication processes in the international student environment. The novelty is determined by the need to study the perception of the Russian Far East by Chinese students. Previously, the problem was studied point-by-point using sociological methods, so the development of this scientific aspect, carried out in 2024, is relevant. Based on a semi-standardized interview, empirical material was subjected to primary analysis, which showed that despite the difficulties associated with staying in an alien foreign-speaking environment, Chinese students' perception of the Russian Far East is positive. For them, this region is geographically located "next" to their homeland, "in the East", so it is comfortable here. The perception of Vladivostok is emotionally presented in a favorable way. In their assessments, this is a place where there is a sea, a lot of tourists, foreigners, thanks to these factors, the Far Eastern city is attractive for them.
