The article presents the content of the work of a defectologist teacher on the development of educational motivation in younger schoolchildren with moderate mental retardation and complex disorders by creating special learning conditions and using a number of special methods, as well as the results of this work.
The work of a defectologist teacher on the development of educational motivation in younger students with moderate mental retardation and complex disorders consists of several key components. An important step is to study the individual characteristics of each student, determine his level of development and educational needs. This will help the teacher-defectologist to build an individual program of work with each child. Based on the data obtained, the teacher-defectologist develops individual educational plans and methods of working with the student. It defines goals and objectives that will help develop learning motivation and achieve success in learning. The teacher-defectologist creates a favorable educational environment adapted to the characteristics of children. In working with students, various methods are used to stimulate learning motivation. The results obtained can be used in the activities of educational institutions to support and correct the development of educational motivation of children with moderate mental retardation and complex disorders.
