This article examines an artistically unique and imaginatively distinctive cultural layer of the traditional Orochon culture – ornamental patterns. A detailed classification of this artistic phenomenon is given according to different principles: typology (zoomorphic, geometric, religious, mixed patterns), symbolic content (nature, worship of deities, everyday customs). The article analyzes the use of Orochon ornaments in various areas of modern design: interior decoration, public spaces, clothing, packaging products. The reasons for the relevance of orochon ornamental patterns in modern design are substantiated, which are contained in the creative searches and experiments of artists, in their desire to preserve their own distinctive culture. Further prospects for the use of Orochon ornaments in the tourism and design fields are outlined.
