The article discusses a synergetic process that reflects the dynamic nature of information. The information system is characterized by multilevel, complexity, and a variety of means of creating and organizing information. The patterns and mechanisms of functioning of information systems in the process of development of society, culture, and man are analyzed. The indicator of the synergetic process is determined, in which the assessment is carried out not so much the amount of information, the methods of its transmission, as the qualitative side of the assessment of information.
