The article considers current problems of compiling a textbook on RAF for the Chinese audience (using conversational topics as an example). It was revealed that most textbooks on RAF contain outdated information. It has been determined that when compiling a textbook on Russian as a foreign language for Chinese students, it is necessary to give preference to passive teaching methods rather than active ones, choose exercises in which it is necessary to act according to an algorithm, minimize tasks that involve starting a discussion, refuse tasks that involve independent modeling of situations, do not give tasks to predict the content of the text, focus on memorizing the material, written speech, take into account the peculiarity of clip thinking of a modern Chinese student, structure the textbook according to the principles of pragmatism and rationality. It is noted that tasks and texts in a modern textbook on Russian as a foreign language for Chinese students should be diverse (contain both tasks characteristic of the thinking of the Chinese and tasks that are characteristic of the thinking of a Russian person). At the same time, the teacher needs to introduce exercises of this kind gradually, conducting additional preparatory work among Chinese students.
Keywords:Russian as a foreign language, China, Russia, textbook, speech activity.
