Scientific and engineering community of contemporary Russia: a sociocultural analysis

The author's cognitive model based on a comparison of classical and modern ideas about technology and engineering. It allows you to organize information about the structure and dynamics of professional engineering activities that are essential for the process of mastering the professional culture in modern conditions. It is proved that the conceptual model of mastering professional culture, especially engineering, includes the entire set of both direct and indirect interactions of social and cultural institutions.
