Galeotto Manfredi's life: triumph and tragedy of the person of the High Renaissance

The article is devoted to the governor Faenza Galeotto Manfredi, a well-known soldier and a patron of arts, who lived at the end of the 15th century. His life and death made a great impression on the contemporaries and the descendants. Their impressions were reflected in some chronicles, pictures and plays.
