Different theoretical and methodological research approaches to the study of youth as a specific social community on the basis of modern sociology, political science (complex, class, psychoanalytic, structural-functional, cultural, and social system, tselostnostny). The article analyzes the theoretical elaboration of youth issues and highlighted the factors of political science definition of «youth»
