To whom and how doors of colleges opened hundred years ago

The features of a set of entrants and the reasons of attractiveness of secondary vocational schools of post-reform Russia for them are considered. The author makes conclusions about compliance of the conditions of entrance in the school of educational policy and the necessity of the preparatory classes for increase the students' knowledge to the necessary level to study in vocational schools.
