Yaroslavl region in 1238: studying history

The article examines the study of the Tatar conquest of the land of Yaroslavl. It shows how local researchers of the XIX century and modern historians have been looking for the place of the battle on the river Sit. The author of the article gives much attention to archaeological researches.
