Non-traditional religious communities as reference groups

In the article the author examines the main socio-psychological and socio-cultural factors of the non-traditional choice of a man. The problem of the non-traditional religious identity is analyzed with the help of the theories by R. Merton, R. Niebuhr, Ch. Glock and R. Stark. The characteristics of the missionary work of the non-traditional communities are also examined in the article
