To the Question of Notion Correlations "Emotion" and "Feeling"

The various approaches offered in scientific literature to interpretation and correlation of such notions as “emotion” and “feeling” are analyzed in this article. It is possible to single out three main approaches to this problem: 1) the terms “feeling” and “emotion” are explained one through the other and used as synonyms; 2) correlation of these notions is considered on the basis of the parameter aspectual/gender; 3) feelings and emotions are interpreted as independent psychical phenomena. In conclusion the author’s interpretation of the analyzed problem is suggested, according to which feelings and emotions are scrutinized as two closely interconnected but different phenomena of a man’s emotional sphere.
