Distance education as a component of continuing education

The article is developed to the problems of lifelong education. Great attention is payed to the process and principles of such adult education form as distance education. The focus is on the expanding of the teacher role as a consultant mentor. Special attention is paid to the process of the new information technologies and systems implementation in the adult lifelong education.
