The paper examines present-day geopolitical tendencies around the region of Central Asia in conditions of the sharpened world power competition for geopolitical and geo-economic domination in Iran. The goal of the article is analysis of political and economic outcomes for the CA region of the key Iranian approaches of the US and EU; determination of the character and the form of these states interaction with main regional actors.
Thereupon the following main, from the author’s opinion, factors are analyzed in the paper: Iranian nuclear problem, Afghan, Saudia-Pakistani and Russian factors.
The author concludes that the US anti-Iranian policy, stimulating intergovernmental contradictions, in fact hampers the tempo of the regional economic integration, and thus the process of realization of the Euroatlantic strategy itself in Central Asia. In the interests of achieving stability in the arising system of international relations in Central and South Asia regions wide set of diplomatic means and instruments of international conflict prevention could be applied at the international level.
