Author in the narrative structure of “Eugene Onegin”

The article regards the role of author in the narrative structure of “Eugene Onegin” by Pushkin. This structure is divided into the sphere of characters and that of the author. The novel inherits such scheme from “Ruslan and Lyudmila”. At the same time the sphere of author reproduces main topics and motives of Pushkin’s lyric poetry, reflecting its evolution. This subjective basis unites the whole variety of structural elements of the text, providing the integrity of novel.
