Functional-cognitive approach in the study of verbal lexicon

This article describes the usage of functional-cognitive approach applied to the study of verbal lexemes. This approach represents a symbiosis of language units functions and types of information used by the speaker in the process of verbal communication. The investigated approach allows to systematize the predicates with a narrow functional relatedness, namely bestial verbs, into lexical-semantic paradigm.
