Mongol-Tatar invasion of Russia: the first reaction and long-term consequences

The article investigates the social and cultural impact of the Mongol-Tatar invasion to Rus. The author studies the immediate effects of the invasion. Also, the paper investigates the long-term implications of the inclusion of Russia in the system of dependence to the Horde.
