Concept of green colour in English slang

The article aims to reconstruct the concept of green colour in English slang. The research findings can be used to help reconstruct the fragment of the linguistic picture of the world on the material of slang. The paper analyzes semantic, wordformative and phrase-formative derivation with the unit “green”. The examples are classified into the groups of units with the common cognitemes which allows describing the structure of a concept. The author touches on the peculiarities of perceiving green colour in the substandard language.
