Argumentative Essay in educational and language culture

The article deals with argumentative essay as one of the main genres in European educational culture, which Russian students face while learning foreign languages. The difficulties of mastering it are caused by objective reasons. Different cultures make different demands on expressing reasons and arguments. Sufficient reasoning itself forms a special competence disregarding cultural affiliation. Anyway, mastering argumentative essay is crucial both for written communication and for academic writing.
