The activity of the soviet representative bodies in the depth of Siberia in 1923-1930 (on the example of the Ishim district in the Ural region)

The article reveals the main milestones of the Soviets’ activity in the Ishim district of the Ural region in 1923-1930. It describes the process of creating, functioning of and electing to the Soviets, as well as the activities of the executive committees. The author emphasizes the idea that in the Ishim district there was undertaken a large-scale campaign for the elimination of the kulaks coupled with the pre-election events, as the result of which, the Soviets came under the particular attention of the Communist Party, whose task was to release the highest local authorities from the so-called class enemies.
