Regionalisms and their role in the literary text of M. Eskov

The article is devoted to the functioning of regional vocabulary in the literary texts of Mikhail Eskov, Kursk writer. It highlights the groups of words: words denoting local realities of nature, life; evaluative words; words relating to religion; the slang words, etc. The article deals with the features of the use of words of different parts of speech: nouns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, auxiliary words. Regionalisms are very organic, natural, they harmonize with other elements in the literary text of M. Eskov. They tend to transfer emotional States of the characters, passionate people who perceive what is happening expressively. Regionalisms help the author to present the regional variety of the Russian language, peculiarity of his favorite Kursk land, in his works.
