Urban Development ofthe provincial centers of the Russian Empire in the first half of the XIXth century on the example of Irkutsk and Vladimir

The article considers the urban development of the provincial centers Irkutsk and Vladimir.Population, city income, the number of merchants and the level of improvement compared. Climatic features are taken into account.The author comes to the conclusion that Irkutsk was ahead of Vladimir on the formation of city budget, in Vladimir was above the level of city improvement.
