The article deals with the problems of the social and cultural potential of development projects creators in cultural institutions, taking into account the personal-oriented approach. The author focuses on the concept of "socio-cultural potential", which aims to capture the essence of pedagogical patterns of socio-cultural activities. It is emphasized that one of the means of productive training and education is creative project. On the one had it acts simultaneously as the mean of building a culture of the designer, and on the other - as the mechanism of improving the quality of its independent work. It is concluded that in modern society, people should have a wide range of opportunities for productive self-fulfillment, commitment of personal activity in all spheres of social and cultural life, including project activities in cultural institutions. The basis for generating project ideas and determining the conditions and the ways of its implementation consists of the system of principles, that considered a student-centered approach& Modern pedagogy has humanoriented essence, respectively - the object and the subject of pedagogical activity are treated from the standpoint of personality-oriented educational paradigm.
