Significance of American onyms in literature

This article discusses the significance of American onyms in literature. Structural models are analyzed from the point of view of their linguistic and social significance, their basic functions in the communication process. The main functions of onyms in the literature, are defined by their stylistic values, reflecting the characteristics of American onomastics. They perform artistic and aesthetic, informational function.
