The causes of translation mistakes made by technical higher school students and some ways of removing them

The article deals with the most typical mistakes made by technical higher school students while translating technical texts. They are mistakes caused, first of all, by the poor knowledge of the English lexis and grammar, the lack of professional knowledge, and also the mistakes that can be explained by the wrong perception and understanding of the text. Bad knowledge of the mother tongue and psychological peculiarities of the students form another group of typical mistakes. Some ways of removing the above mentioned mistakes are given.
