Baku oil industry in the early years of the Soviet power

The article is devoted to the history of Baku oilfields in the first years of the Soviet power in Azerbaijan. The author elucidates the problem of oil extraction and processing in the conditions of directive management of production. Special attention in the article is paid to such problems as the deficit of workforce and social effects of the development of oil industry.
