The clan, Seok, and the Aal community of the middle 19th – early 20th centuries are the main forms of collective interaction of the Khakass people. They are those subjects of the assistance that solve everyday life problems applying real methods. Social assistance as a system of protecting people from risks in the community and with the help of the society originated in the tribal relations. It develops and exists as a special social institution created by the society for the special care of the citizens who are incapable of self-sufficiency and permanently or temporarily in need of public support. Due to her reproductive functions, the Khakass woman was traditionally considered to be an impure dirty creature and was somewhat prejudiced in social life but socially protected. As a result of the study the author draws to conclusion that the woman in the traditional Khakass society was socially protected through the community-generic structure. She is constantly under the care of the male population. When a child the woman under the tutelage of the father is in her parental home, then her husband is responsible for her. In case of special situations, when the woman was in a socially disadvantaged state, the family, the clan and the Aal community took care of her rehabilitation.
