Translation of the explicatives in special texts

The article deals with the problem of translation of explicatives as the main verbalized components of special knowledge. The structure and functional characteristics are described. The authors have made a comparative analysis of explicatives’ translation aimed at the research of its peculiarities and at the revealing of translation difficulties. It was shown that the main difficulties in translation of explicatives are linked with generalization, concretization and with the excluding or inserting a new semantic meaning into the target text.
