The article analyzes the experience of studying industrial development in Chuvash Republic the staff of the Chuvash State University. I. N. Ulyanov. In 1960 – 1980 years of the regional researchers show a particularly strong interest in studying the history of industrial and construction enterprises of the Chuvash Republic. On a broad source base are created as separate articles, and large studies that reveal various aspects of the history of the industry. Special attention is paid to the study of working class Chuvash Republic
