The development of Russian language teaching in China to 1949

This article is devoted to the development of Russian language teaching in China in the period from 1708 to 1949. The diagram that summarizes the dynamics of the interest in the study of the Russian language in China, was created on the basis of the author analyzed historical data. This diagram clearly illustrates the gradation of number of students learning Russian language at different times. Also there were analyzed first training aids and books about the Russian language - its grammar, phonetics and other aspects. Review the history of the Russian language teaching in China will help in the study of teaching the traditions of Russian language in China and in the discovery of its benefits and drawbacks in order to improve methods of teaching Russian language for Chinese students.
