Word as an object of artistic reflection in the novel ‘The Letter Book’ by M. Shishkin

The given article explores the phenomenon of the word as the founding element of the literary world in one of the novels written by Mikhail Shishkin. As theoretical basis we use the approach to the notion of word developed by M. Bakhtin. The article reveals a philosopheme that is of extreme importance for the author. It consists in word’s absolute power in the existence and self-realization of a person.
