Price crisis of 1998-1999 and its influence on Azerbaijani oil market

The article analyses a course and consequences of the world economic crisis in the late 1990s that significantly influenced oil producers and oil exporters, including Azerbaijan where it became easier to get a contract than it used to be in times of high oil prices. Meanwhile, performance of already signed contracts encouraged development of oil infrastructure which could have been used in future projects.
