The history and problems of gas industry of Azerbaijan in the 1990s

The article is dedicated to problems of the gas industry of Azerbaijan in the 1990s. It analyzes efforts on elimination of natural gas deficit and on gas production scale-up, as well as an impact of the world energy crisis on the oil-and-gas industry of Azerbaijan, as a result of which natural gas production was concentrated in the sphere of major companies.
