Burial and its place in the Adygs traditional culture

The purpose of the article is to determine the traditional view of the burial place, the signs of the worship on the deceased, in general the attitude towards the death of one of the nations of the Caucasus - Adygs (Circassians). The ethnological review of the death place allows us to supplement the general picture of the traditional daily life of the Adygs throughout the long historical period. Classification of burial sites for Adygs is determined by such factors as the terrain, class and clan of the deceased, the nature of death.
