Migration crisis 2015-2017 and his language projection in the Spanish political (media) discourse

This article examines the changes that have occurred in the conceptual sphere of the Spanish political and media discourse under the influence of increased migration flows in 2015-2017. Based on the materials of the Spanish newspaper and public discourse on migration issues, as well as recent events in Spain, an analysis of the political vocabulary used has been carried out. It is concluded that migration problems that remain highly relevant in the new political reality are projected onto media discourse, leading to lexical changes in the speeches of Spanish politicians and experts, which are a reflection of the transformations of cognitive ones. Given that the causes of the crisis are not eliminated, and Spain is still subject to massive migration flows, further changes should also be expected in Spanish linguistic culture.
