New trends in the evolution of confessional relations in the Kazan government in the second half of the XIX - the beginning of the XX centuries

The author of the article analyzes the situation that took shape in the post-reform period in the Russian Empire of the late 19th-20th centuries. In Russian history, there was noted an increase in apostasy movement among the population of the non-Orthodox faith of the Kazan province. In the new socio-political realities of the post-reform period, a new course has emerged in government and church politics regarding the baptized population of the Russian state.
