Urban space in the socio-cultural study

The research is devoted to the problem that is becoming more and more topical today, - the image of a modern city. The necessity of forming an objective image of the urban space and its citizens has led the author to search for new ways of obtaining reliable information about the city. The associative experiment, converted to the linguistic consciousness of the citizens of the city and consisting in obtaining of words-reactions to the toponym – the name of the city, helped create the real images of the cities of the Perm Krai and reflect their cultural and linguistic components.
