This article deals with the spiritual and educational duties of literature, which has an opportunity to achieve fruitfully not only by imaginative, purely artistic, but also by more stringent, event-chronical texts. The universally recognized tragedy of the modern event is that the worldview of the new generation has partially lost and continues to lose its spiritual and moral priorities. At the same time, in the first half of the century, the military-patriotic theme matures both in the genre of the Soviet historical poem and poetic drama. All this testifies to the enormous, unquenchable spiritual and moral charge of all literature about the Great Patriotic War. They achieve unprecedented flowering in publicist and a sketch during the war , which turns out to be due primarily to the increased social and pedagogical role of domestic prose.
