Colonization of the Russian Far East in the government policy in 1909-1911

The article analyzes the documents of a special government body – the Committee for the Settlement of the Far East. In 1909-1911 it worked under the chairmanship of P.A. Stolypin. The decisions of this Committee became a guide to actions for the Amur expedition under the head of N.L. Gondatti and direct indication for the local administration in the implementation of resettlement policies in the region, economic development of the Far East. Particular attention is paid to the analytical materials on the Russian colonization of the region, collected by the Main Directorate for Land Management and Agriculture under the leadership of A.V. Krivoshein.
