Article is devoted to studying of system of teaching the basics of life safety (BLS) at elementary and high schools of People's Republic of China. The analysis of legislative documents of the government of the People's Republic of China on improvement of teaching Fundamentals of Health and Safety in a historical retrospective is given, since 1996 when according to the decision of the government of the People's Republic of China "Day of safety" has been determined. For the analysis three administrative units of territorial division which are at the different levels of the qualifier of administrative zones depending on economic development have been chosen. Have been chosen Shenzhen the large coastal city with quickly developing economy entering the special economic zone, the city district Ordos (the city of "the third line") with the developing light industry and the county of Longhui with the low level of industrialization, the poor region of China. Authors have carried out the critical analysis of organizational and teoretiko-methodical equipment of teaching Fundamentals of Health and Safety at elementary and high schools of the People's Republic of China. Not only achievements of the Chinese colleagues in the organization of safety of school students are noted, but also shortcomings are noted.
