The constructing a media image of the Khakass language in the regional media

The article presents the peculiarities of the media image of the Khakass minority language which has a legal status of the state language within the territory of the Republic of Khakassia. The material of the research consists of texts of the electronic regional media. The analysis reveals that the basic parameter of the Khakass language media image is the marked emphasis on its functioning in the spheres of education and culture. At the same time much less attention is given to the urgent issues of the regional language, causing the Khakass language media image being significantly at odds with the real picture of its functioning.
