Combining traditional and interactive methods of training when learning the English language in Institute of international management and education Krasnoyarsk state agrarian university

The article provides comparative information about the experience of different methods use at the lessons of the English language at the non-linguistic university and their influence on the students’ competences development, knowledge and skills formation at the institute of International management and education of Krasnoyarsk state agrarian university. The way of competitive advantage creation in the form of competitive educational programs development and implementation is given. This advantage -training of future managers with deep knowledge of English and well-formed communicative competences-is achieved due to the active use by the faculty both active and interactive training methods. The article also shows the importance of learning foreign languages and acquiring communicative competences by future managers in the non- linguistic university. It is shown that interactive work in the classes of foreign language helps on creating such competences as working in a team; analyzing the results of own and company activity; business letters writing; contract discussing; being psychologically stable in the case of new challenges appearing and others.
