the article considers the substantive and methodological aspects of the course developed by the author "Simply about difficult" for of first grade pupils of primary school that is to be implemented at extracurricular activities in the framework of all-intellectual direction. The course focuses on the development of personal, communicative, cognitive and regulatory universal educational actions of pupils, based on the material of the course "Environmental world" and involves the extension and the recess of natural-science knowledge formed in the course. In the content of the program the chemical component takes the great part, so the course can be considered as a component of the propaedeutic phase of the school chemical education. Particular elements of the developed course program are shown: thematic planning, structure features of the class, forms of pupils’ activities organization. The used methods and techniques are shown on specific examples for each stage of the class. The course is designed in the context of the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of primary general education, taking into account psychological age characteristics of primary school age. The effectiveness of the developed course is confirmed by a comparative experiment, in which diagnostics of development of all groups of universal educational actions at three levels is taken place: high, medium and low. The reliability of the obtained results is confirmed by statistical processing of the data by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
