The features of the semantic finlandisms in the Fenno-Swedish

The article describes the features of two types of specific vocabulary of the Fenno-Swedish, which are semantic fennicisms and independent semantic finlandisms. Together these types make a significant layer of vocabulary among lexical finlandisms (about 16%). The analysis based on the most modern dictionary of finlandisms Finlandssvensk ordbok (2010). Semantic transformations of semantic fennicisms and independent finlandisms are motivated by different extralinguistic and internal linguistic factors: in the case of semantic fennicisms, this is the influence of the Finnish language, while independent semantic finlandisms are formed without Finnish influence. In the article, subtypes of these Finnish types are analyzed on the basis of their semantic transformations.
