Paired phraseological units in the free rhythms of I. Bakhman and ways of their translation

the functioning of paired phraseological units in the free rhythms of I. Bakhman is considered in the article, and the ways of their translation into Russian are analyzed. The conclusion is that in the free rhythms of I. Bakhman paired phraseological units are a rare phenomenon. The few pair words used by the Austrian poetess undergo structural and semantic transformations, demonstrate an updated structure or meaning, have increased expressive and stylistic properties and more often represent the result of author's word-making. The paired phraseological units in I. Bakhman`s free rhythms are translated with non-phraseological methods. These are often calques and interpretation. These ways give the translators the opportunity to express the content of the original lines with the paired phraseological units holistically and accurately.
