The article deals with characteristics of the use of the Russian language abroad analysed on modern Russian-language newspapers published in Germany. This paper presents the interpretation of Russian standard language norm mistakes in media language. The errors are revealed in different language system levels: lexical and grammatical, as well as in graphical form, spelling and punctuation.
The modern Russian-language newspapers «Pereselencheskiy Vestnik» (2016) and «Novye Zemlyaki» (2017) were chosen as the sources of analysis due to their strongly pronounced peculiarity and the fact that they had not been studied before. The primary audience of these newspapers is Russian Germans who emigrated from Russia to Germany in 1990s and presented the fourth Russian emigrant wave.
The author considers Russian standard language norm mistakes as an active process in the use of the Russian language abroad and points out probable causes of their appearance.
